Barbalet's Log editorial staff review last night's game.

There was concern that some of last night's viewers may become addicted to the sport. This newly crazed fan, we will call her L., noted that she wanted to see more of her own team on the field during the whole game. Not just the halftime show.

Good morning.

I was surfing the cable tonight and I found the Puppy Bowl II;

http://animal.discovery.com/convergence/puppybowl/puppybowl.html

The most moving television I have seen in years. Michele was playing CSI: Dark Motives in the other room. The pets and I watched about an hour of the Puppy Bowl over a couple of hours. The program is exclusively a small indoor field covered in toys with light music and the puppies playing. The half time show was kittens doing the same.

Very hard to turn off.

In contrasting news, I put a decade page online for Noble Ape (and changed the header/footer format of the site);

http://www.nobleape.com/decade/

I contacted about fifty people from various times through the development to see if they would write something. I'm not expecting much. If the folks I contacted were really interested in the development, they may have followed it up until the present day. Few did. It makes me think - what is this Noble Ape thing about? Not history, I guess.

We'll see how it goes.

Good night.

I wrote a utility a couple of years ago to convert source and header files to HTML and also provide linking information for functions. I never completed the program to create interlinking function referencing but the link below shows how far it went with just the noble directory function linked back through to the gui and core directories;

cth060204

I have been looking for a good source documentation utility and all of them suffer similar flaws;

  • PERL - completely useless for multiple platforms without nuisance installation.
  • GNU g-yuck - BSD or generic open source licenses please.
  • Documentation comments take a lot of code space for what benefit?
  • No structure support for C

    So... wheel reinvention time, once again.

    Good night.
