Mike (aka DJ Static) put up a blistering set of gangsta rap at the start of the second hour of WeFunk. I had to call in and give him props. So I call the CKUT studios, and a woman answered the phone, ''WeFunk''. I asked for Mike, and when he got on the phone I said, ''Mike, it's Tom.''

''Sorry? Who?''

WeFunk is getting too worldwide. They have people answering their phones. Can't remember the internet support base and regular contributors to the funding drives...

''Tom Barbalet!''

Good chatting with Mike, but no shout out at the end of the show. It was a long night. We both sounded a little tired on the phone.
