On Toy Soldiers...

The greatest feedback on the Log is from folks who like the painted toy soldiers (aka miniatures). My toy soldiers come from a number of sources;

      http://www.blacktreedesign.com/
      http://www.ebay.com/
      http://www.nugaming.com/
      http://uk.games-workshop.com/

In terms of painters, almost all my toy soldiers are painted by Fred Reed. If you want to contact Fred, his email address is;

      fred_reed_8924 at hotmail dot com

I have a web page of some of the Fred Reed figures in my collection;

      http://www.barbalet.net/freed/

Some of my toy soldiers have been painted by Kirill Kanaev (aka Kirill Kanaeu - Games Workshop's typographical error!). You can contact him via email too;

      katani1977 at yandex dot ru

To give some indication, Fred is about five times cheaper per figure than Kirill, however Kirill probably spend about five times longer per figure than Fred. They have different styles. Please let both of them know that you found their work through my site.

In addition, I have some toy soldiers on the site painted by Tammy Haye, Chris Blair and Willi Winter. These three artists are hard to contact currently.

I have included this digest of my early Log posts relating to toy soldiers.

Enjoy,

Tom Barbalet.

PS If you are looking for free wargaming rules, I maintain the Alienstar rules for a wide variety of historic periods as well as futuristic and fantasy.
